About Hook and Loop-:

One of the most revolutionary system of fastening it consists of two narrow woven strips of polyester tape one with the surface of small stiff hooks and the other with the surface of small soft thread loops. When these surfaces are brought together the hooks engage the loops forming a strong bond between the two. The system was developed for use in space missions. It is also referred to as Velcro, fastening tape.
